aer can be used for free with the following limitations:

• Run up to 100 test methods at a time, using one worker
• In a codebase with more than 100 non-test classes and triggers, run one test method at a time
• Use the debugger and the development server for up to 5 minutes at a time
• Full LSP features are free to use in the VS Code extension or any other editor that supports LSP

Licensed Features

A license is required to:

• Run more than 100 test methods at a time
• Run more than one test method at a time in a codebase with more than 100 non-test classes and triggers
• Run tests on more than one worker in parallel
• Use the debugger or the development server for more than 5 minutes at a time

The count of non-test classes and triggers includes the source being tested and any package whose tests the run selects. It does not include packages the code only depends on. An unlicensed run that selects more than one test method in a larger codebase stops with a license error before running any test.

• License to run aer in a continuous integration environment such as GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or Jenkins
